SEE THE SOUND · BEST MUSIC DOCUMENTARY AWARD

This summer, SoundTrack_Cologne 22 and See the Sound once again present the Best Music Documentary Award, featuring a selection of eight exceptional films that explore the lives, legacies, and creative journeys of music icons and extraordinary artists. The winning film will be awarded a €2,500 prize.

The full STS 2025 programme features 34 documentaries, one feature film, and 13 short films, alongside the silent film concert Buddenbrooks, a live performance by game music composer Paul Wolinski, and the Film Music Concert featuring works by acclaimed composer Michael Abels and other SoundTrack_Cologne guests, including music from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, The School of Magical Animals 3, Islands, and Katla.

SoundTrack_Cologne accreditation additionally grants access to the screenings of the See the Sound film programme.
