Ana Krstajic

Ana Krstajic (1994) was born in Belgrade, Serbia. After finishing her primary and secondary music school she was accepted at Faculty of Music Art, Composition and Orchestration department, as top of the class.
During her studies at Faculty of Music Art she won several prizes. In 2014 she won 1st Prize at the Young Composer Competition “Women’s Works” (Ithaca, NY). Following year, she was designated as Alternate at the Renne B. Fisher Composer Competition (New Haven, CT). In 2016 she won 2nd Prize at the International Composer Competition “De Bach au Jazz” (Paris, FR) in category Contemporary Piano, designated as the youngest Laureate. Same year she won 1st Prize at “The Best Musical Mind” International Music Competition, (Belgrade, SR) when she was awarded with full scholarship for Berklee Summer Performance Program (Valencia, ESP). She won the Honorary Mention at Soundtrack Cologne festival, European Talent Competition in August 2018.
Ana is composing concert and incidental music. Her music was performed in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, France, Spain, Germany, Russia, Slovenia and USA. She composed music for several Theater plays in Serbia which were premiered in some of the biggest theater houses in the country (Belgrade Drama Theater, Sombor National Theater). Her first appearance in the international scene of Theater music happened in 2017 when she composed music for the play Macbeth at Monbijou Theater in Berlin. Recently she worked on a two TV shows as an orchestrator and additional music writer, Besa and Zmurke, which were broadcast on national television in Serbia. Her Music was broadcast at the Radio Belgrade 3, Eburg radio station (Washington DC) and Sound Art radio (England).
Besides composing Ana is also performing as a pianist in a world music duo 'Tashana'. Duo Tashana merges traditional Balkan music with contemporary classical sound. She is currently composing music for her first contemporary Ballet commission in Belgrade, Serbia. Ana Krstajic has a Master Degree at Berklee College of Music, Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games department, she graduated as Magna Cum Laude.
