Call for Entries: PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD 2023 - Kurzfilmeinreichungen

SoundTrack_Cologne 20 (20. – 23. Juni 2023) startet Einreichungen für den PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD für die beste Musik in einem Kurzfilm.

2023 vergibt SoundTrack_Cologne 20 zum 15. Mal den PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD für die Beste Originalmusik in einem Kurzfilm.

Der Award ist mit einem Preisgeld in Höhe von 1.500 Euro verbunden.

Die erstmals 2009 überreichte Auszeichnung erinnert an den großen deutschen Filmkomponisten Peer Raben.

Prämiert werden Filmscores mit innovativer und dramaturgisch schlüssiger Verwendung von Musik und Ton in Beziehung zur Narration.

Einsendeschluss für den Wettbewerb ist der 11. April 2023.

Einreichkriterien:

• Kurzfilme, deren Produktion nach dem 1. Januar 2022 abgeschlossen wurde oder die nach dem 1. Januar 2022 uraufgeführt wurden.
• Filme mit einer maximalen Länge von 15 Minuten (inkl. Abspann) in allen branchenüblichen Formaten.
• Es gibt keine Beschränkungen in Bezug auf Produktionsland, Genre oder Inhalt.
  Der Film muss jedoch überwiegend mit Originalmusik vertont sein.
• Die Nominierten sollten bei der Vorführung der Filme anwesend sein und werden dem Publikum und der Jury am 23. Juni 2023 vorgestellt. Die Preisverleihung findet später am selben Abend während der offiziellen Gala statt.

Call for Entries: PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD 2023 - Best Music in a Short Film

SoundTrack_Cologne 20 (June 20 – 23, 2023) starts submissions for the PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD for the best music in a short film.

SoundTrack_Cologne 20, which will take place from June 20 to 23, 2023, invites film composers and filmmakers to submit their short films with their original compositions in the call for the PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD.

The award, now in its fifteenth edition, will award a prize of 1,500 euros to the film scores that stand out for their innovation and for coherently reinforcing narration from music and sound.

The award, first presented in 2009, commemorates the great German film composer Peer Raben.

The closing date for the competition is April 11, 2023.

Submission criteria:

• Films with a maximum length of 15 minutes (incl. end credits) in all industry standard formats.
• Short films whose production was completed after January 1, 2022 or that premiered after January 1, 2022.
• There are no restrictions regarding country of production, genre, or content; however, the film must be predominantly scored with original music.
• The nominees should be present at the screening of the films and will be presented to the audience and the jury on June 23, 2023. The award ceremony will take place during the official Gala later that same evening.
