Neun Filmfestivals gründen kreatives Netzwerk: Music Film Festival Network MFFN

We’re all in this together: Neun Filmfestivals aus Frankreich, Deutschland, Italien, der Schweiz und Großbritannien gründen das Music Film Festival Network (MFFN). Ziel dieses innovativen Netzwerks ist es, eine internationale Filmfestivalgemeinschaft zu schaffen und dadurch neue und starke Synergieeffekte zu erzielen.

Das MFFN will den kreativen Teams hinter den Musikfilmfestivals die Möglichkeit bieten, Erfahrungen auszutauschen, neue Formen der Zusammenarbeit zu erproben sowie das bestehende Publikum zu erweitern. Ziel ist die Förderung von Publikationen, Produktionen und Veranstaltungen in der audiovisuellen Industrie. Branchentreffen und die Durchführung von Workshops, Debatten und Forschungen sollen durch den aktiven (Ideen-)Austausch erleichtert werden.


MFFN Award

Der MFFN Award ist die internationale Auszeichnung für den besten Dokumentarfilm des Jahres zum Thema Musik. Jedes MFFN-Mitglied präsentiert einen Dokumentarfilm aus der letzten Saison. Eine internationale Jury vergibt den MFFN Award an den besten Musikdokumentarfilm unter den von den MFFN-Mitgliedern ausgewählten Filmen.

Nine different film festivals establish one creative network: Music Film Festival Network MFFN

We’re all in this together: nine festivals based in France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the UK create the Music Film Festival Network (MFFN). The aim of this innovative network is to create an international film festival community and, thereby, achieve new and strong synergy effects.

MFFN intends to provide an opportunity for the creative teams behind music film festivals to exchange experiences and best practices, experiment with new forms of collaboration, expand existing audiences and build new ones. The aim is the promotion of publications, productions and events in the audio-visual industry. Industry meetings and the realisation of workshops, discussions and research will be facilitated by an active exchange (of ideas) and collaboration.


MFFN Award

The MFFN Award is the newly established international award for the best music-themed documentary of the year. Each MFFN member presents a documentary, chosen from the last season. An international jury will assign the MFFN Award to the best musical documentary among those selected by MFFN members.
